From the Mind of a Middle School Student…
I was saving this blog entry for a slow day… It’s a little old but worth pointing out.
In the opinion area of the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, Fatima Bawany, a middle school student, wrote a brilliant guest essay. Her piece, Spy on your kids online? Young cyberspace travelers do need parental guidance, looks at parental monitoring from a youngsters point of view. Not only does she agree that parents should monitor and that kids DO need guidance, but she rationalizes it in a way that would make any parent proud to have her on their side. Hopefully her peers will listen to her… but more so I hope the parents of her peers do.
And, of course, hopefully they would buy PC Pandora to do the job of monitoring their kids…

Along with a proper software what is needed is proper parental counseling and guidance. You need to make sure that your children value and treasure you and would always keep your reactions in mind before doing something drastic

But then there is a thin line between freedom and understanding. What if your childen find out about that you have been spying on them using PC doctoring software?.
