Son Attacks Mom Over MySpace
All I’m saying here is I never heard of a story when I was a kid of some kid trying to kill his parents because they took away his GI Joes.
Yet more fuel for the ‘you have to know what your kids are doing online’ fire. If your kids are seriously addicted to a social network site, you need to know. You can put your foot down, take it away and get stabbed… or you can understand, talk and just let them have it, while you set limits and monitor with PC Pandora.
Police: Son attacks mom after MySpace dispute
HAYDEN, Idaho — An 18-year-old Hayden, Idaho, man is accused of stabbing his mother after she forbade him to use the Internet social networking site MySpace.
Terry Gene Starnes was arrested last week for investigation of aggravated assault after his mother, Shelley Sue Pangle, said he cut her wrist.
Pangle says she confronted her 6-foot-2, 320-pound son, after which he became aggravated and packed his belongings to leave their home.
Police say he pulled a black and silver knife from his pocket as his mother tried to take his cellular telephone charger from him.
Starnes rode off on his bicycle but was later detained by police.
He was released from Kootenai County Jail on Monday.
