I think that most of what you are concerned with is more "Intercourse and Pornographing" not "Sexting". Sex is regrettably an overused word. People should not confuse these terms. Sex is when two people make love. It is the ultimate form of existence and love, when two people become one. Intercourse and Porn is the opposite. It is showing off body parts like whores. It's doing things with no passion nor love; that's the thing parents should worry about.

By the way, even though you say that it is for "personal security" and such, why is it so thorough that you have to see everything? What if two teens who loved each other to the fullest send loving texts to each other? Isn't THAT an invasion of privacy? Parents have worried about their children since ancient Greece! I just think that it's also wrong to STALK your children's activities online AND offline (By the way, what about computer diaries that they store on their computer not the internet? That is an invasion of privacy.) Not all activities are related to being a whore on the internet.
