Every week I present to you the real-life stories of arrests, captures and sentencings for those sneaky online predators who – believe it or not – actually DO exist. This week I have 4 good ones to share, 2 of which involve real girls. The other 2, victims of AG Corbett’s (PA) warpath, were undercover sting ops.

Corbett Announces Arrest of Dauphin County Man in Internet Child Predator Investigation
From GantDaily.comHARRISBURG – Agents from the Attorney General’s Child Predator Unit have arrested a Dauphin County man accused of using Internet instant message programs to sexually proposition what he believed were 13 and 14-year old girls, as well as sending nude webcam videos to the girls. The “girls” were actually undercover agents who were using the online profiles of children.
Last week, a manhunt was on in southern California for a 33-year-old man who met a 12-year-old on MySpace, then met her in real life and had sex with her. She was complicit in the meeting, but then told cops about the sex. He was caught this weekend.

Alleged MySpace Predator Arrested in OC

A 21-year-old man in Georgia was arrested after the cops got wind of his intentions to meet and have sex with a 14-year-old girl he met online.

Georgia Man Accused of Soliciting Teen Girl on MySpace
James Gilbert, WLTX-TVColumbia, SC (WLTX) — Deputies arrested a 21-year-old Georgia man after they say he tried to solicit sex from a 14-year-old on MySpace.com.
Finally, a second sting-op arrest from Pennsylvania nets a 26-year-old man who was trying to solicit what he thought was a 13-year-old girl in a chatroom for sex.
