I have a few posts I want to make today so I’m going to cut to the chase on this one. You know the drill. Below are 7 stories from the past week that highlight Internet predators caught (or sentenced) around the country…
Obviously, PC Pandora 6.0 computer monitoring software can be used to keep tabs on who your child is talking to and who is trying to talk to them! Internet predators are very very real. Chances are, your kid is talking to one and doesn’t know it. Don’t believe me? Ask them if they know every single person in real life that they have on their Facebook or MySpace friends lists. I guarantee the answer is no. Those unknowns could be predators receiving constant updates on your child’s activity and lifestyle.

Teen accused of blackmailing students for sex on Facebook sentenced to 15 years (VIDEO)
Sarah Platt, FOX 6 MilwaukeeWITI-TV, WAUKESHA – A New Berlin teen who pleaded no contest blackmailing his classmates for sex through Facebook was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison. 19-year-old Anthony Stancl apologized during sentencing, saying he has learned to understand what his victims went through.
A 41-year-old man from New Hampshire man met a 13-year-old boy on MySpace and had a “yearslong” affair with him. He is facing sex crime charges (duh).

A 67-year-old Georgia man was sentenced to months in prison for transporting a minor for illegal sexual activity. He met a 15-year-old Maryland girl in a Christian chat room. He groomed her until she was 16. Then went to have sex with her and convinced her to leave her family and go with him to GA.

Man charged with enticing girls for sex
Trace Christenson, The EnquirerA Kalamazoo man will return to court next week after being arraigned on charges he enticed a 13-year-old girl to have sex. Michael Smith, 30, was arraigned today on four charges after his Saturday arrest by Calhoun County Sheriff Department deputies.
A 28-year-old Ohio man was arrested when the mother of a 14-year-old Alabama girl (whom he met online) found him in the daughter’s bedroom.
TUSCALOOSA – Sheriff’s deputies have charged an Ohio man with a series of sex-related crimes after he was found in the bedroom of a Tuscaloosa teen. Matthew Brandon Rogers, 28, faces charges of soliciting a child by computer, second-degree sexual abuse, enticing a child and possession of child pornography. He was being held Monday in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $66,000 bail.
A 21-year-old Ohio man used MySpace to meet teenage girls and have sex with them. So far, police have found 3 victims.

Alleged MySpace misuse leads to sex crimes indictment for New Lebanon man
By Lou Grieco, Dayton Daily NewsDAYTON — A New Lebanon man, accused of using his MySpace page to meet underage girls, was indicted Monday, March 1, for multiple felonies involving sexual conduct with minors. Joseph S. Cummings, 21, is charged with four counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and one count of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor.
A 32-year-old New York man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for soliciting sex from minors on the Internet.

Binghamton Man Sentenced to 10 years in Federal Prison
By WBNG NewsBinghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) As a result of an investigation conducted by the Southern Tier Cyber Predator Task Force, defendant Mark McGrath, 32, of Binghamton, New York was sentenced today in Binghamton Federal Court to 10 years in federal prison and 15 years of supervised release to follow his imprisonment term. McGrath had been indicted by a federal grand jury sitting in Binghamton, New York on charges of Persuading, Inducing and Enticing Minors To Engage In Sexual Conduct.
