One bandwagon I can fully support is the one that many states seem to be hopping on. Due to the success here in New York of the Electronic Security and Targeting of Online Predators act (E-STOP), other legislators are wisely deciding to bring the law to their state house and push it through. Georgia is the next one to hop on the wagon – Yay for the peach tree state!
But of course, passing this measure takes time. And even when it does pass, it’s only a protective measure from the outside. Push to Ban Sex Offenders from Facebook

(WSB Radio) Georgia may soon be banning sex offenders from using popular online social networking sites. State Representative Rob Teilhet has introduced the measure, called ESTOP, Electronic Security And Targeting of Online Predators, to allow social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook to remove registered sex offenders from their sites here in Georgia.
