Wacky Internet Predator Wednesday #138

As David Schwimmer’s Trust hit theaters in select theaters last week, the talk of Internet predators resurfaced – with good reason too.

If you think predators aren’t really a threat and that the incidents in Trust “could never happen” to your child, I present this week’s predator list, which involves THREE cases of teens falling into predator traps. While I admit, three in the whole country is a very low percentage of the number of teens online, there are two things worth noting – first, this happens every single week and second, these are just the guys that have been caught.

If you want to keep your kids safe online, use PC Pandora monitoring software. I got news for you parents, no matter how close you think you are to your kids or how much of an angel you are convinced they are, when they decide to get into trouble – and they will, trust me, they will – they are not going to tell you about it.

In Colorado, a 21-year-old man met a 14-year-old girl on MySpace. He convinced her he was just 17 and convinced her to open her bedroom window one night. Then he had sex with her. It was not assault – the 14-year-old consented.
