Bullying Eyed in NJ Teen’s Apparent Suicide

Another teenager has committed suicide in New Jersey. Police are looking into allegations of bullying after the championship bowler and accomplished musical 15-year-old Morristown High School freshman hung himself last week. The reports are sort of vague right now, but I believe friends are telling the police to investigate bullying as a cause of suicide.

It is just so sad.

New Jersey police are investigating whether the apparent suicide of a 15-year-old boy is linked to reports that he was bullied at school, according to two sources close to law enforcement.

The sources said the Morristown High School freshman died at his home in Morris Township by hanging himself after school Wednesday. School officials identified the boy as Lennon Baldwin.

“No one should ever be bullied to the point where they feel they need to take their own life,” a friend wrote beneath one of several YouTube videos posted in his memory. “R.I.P. buddy! I will never forget you.” Read more ›

MORRISTOWN — A 15-year-old Morristown High School freshman died at home this week in an apparent suicide, and prosecutors say they are investigating whether the boy might have been driven to his death by bullies.

Lennon Baldwin, known for his love of bowling, skateboarding and music, was found dead Wednesday.

In a statement Friday, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi said all aspects of the youngster’s death, “inclusive of bullying,” will be investigated. Read more ›
