Hot on the heels of the Amanda Todd tragedy, it is good to see Canada upping its game against cyberbullies. 8 female students have been arrested for harassing a peer. Read this story… sounds like they are taking it seriously. I wish the schools here in the US would do the same…
The bottom line is that there is a definite shift in the culture towards bullying. It’s not going to be tolerated. I’ll spare you the typical rant of how it’s your responsibility as a parent to know how your child is using that computer and internet connection you place in their hands, and rather point out that it is in your best interest (and your child’s future) to make sure they are not bullying others online. There is a good chance now that if they are bullying someone, they will get caught and they will be in a world of trouble.
If you really want to know what your kids are doing online, PC Pandora monitoring software will tell you…
