Internet cops send message of online safety to students

The message isn’t for kids to stay off the Internet – that would be impractical and unrealistic.

The message, according to Michigan State Police Corporal Erin Diamond of the Michigan Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, is to teach and remind kids how to be smart and safe online.

Diamond was joined recently by MICAC Agent Lenny Attar at informational forums for students and parents at Stevenson High School and Holmes Middle School, where they laid out the inherent dangers of online activity, particularly social media. CONTINUE READING›
