BOCA RATON — High school teacher Stevie Glasspool lived life out loud on Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and MySpace. She even created a website dedicated to a wedding that never took place.

On Thursday, Glasspool’s brazen use of social media got her arrested.

She faces solicitation charges for asking students on Facebook to have sex with her, Broward Sheriff’s investigators say.

The former social studies teacher sent students — ranging from 15 to 17 years old — inappropriate messages on Facebook.

One said: “I don’t want you to fall in love with me but I also don’t want you to hit it and quit it either,” according to sheriff’s investigators. [READ FULL STORY]

Vernon man arrested for child luring after RCMP online sting operation

A Vernon man who was the target of a covert online investigation by the RCMP could face charges of luring a child.

The man, who is in his 50s, was arrested at a fast-food restaurant in Vernon on Aug. 16, where police allege he had arranged to meet a young boy he had met online.

Police say that over a number of weeks, the man allegedly engaged in dialogue with the boy that became increasingly inappropriate and sexual in nature.

However, the child the man had been chatting with was actually an undercover officer with the B.C. RCMP’s Integrated Child Exploitation Unit, whose sole duty is to communicate online with suspected online predators. A number of investigators travelled to Vernon from the Lower Mainland after the meeting at the restaurant was set up. [READ FULL STORY]
