Felony Charged Dropped in Orono Cyber Bullying Case

A felony charge against a teenager who admitted to cyber-bullying a former Orono High school classmate has been dropped.

The 17-year-old girl pleaded guilty in March to felony and misdemeanor charges of terrorizing.

A 15-year-old girl told police she was constantly being harassed on-line.

The victim says she was targeted because the other girl thought the victim was flirting with her boyfriend.

The Penobscot County District Attorney’s Office says as part of a plea deal, the felony case would be dismissed if the 17-year-old stayed out of trouble for nine months. [READ FULL STORY]
