Mom Was On MySpace When Daughter Fell From Window
Friday, May 2nd, 2008Now, I don’t have the details on how long she was online or specifically on MySpace, but for such a young mother to be that preoccupied with the Internet (MySpace or not) is an issue. Forget about the predators and cyber-bullying, what about simple addiction to social networking? Thankfully, the little girl is all right…
Police: Fayette mom on MySpace when tot fell from window

UNIONTOWN, PA—State police say a Fayette County woman was busy with a MySpace.com computer account when her 3-year-old daughter fell from a second-floor apartment window and fractured her skull.
Police have charged 24-year-old Amanda Lee Palo, of Uniontown, with reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.
The girl remains in stable condition at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh since falling from the window Monday afternoon. Her injuries aren’t life threatening.
Police say neighbors have seen Palo’s children on the roof of the building and “hanging out” the window in the past and that the window had child safety locks that weren’t in use.
Authorities have removed three other of Palo’s children from the home. They are 18 months to 5 years old.
Palo’s phone is disconnected and it’s unclear if she has an attorney.
